See below for more information about each of these primary commercial flooring product categories.

Soft Surface Flooring Products.

Although some people will incorrectly place carpet into the Resilient Flooring category, we still think of carpet as a “soft surface” product. The commercial carpet category includes two primary formats - Broadloom Carpet (wide rolls) and Carpet Tiles (sometimes referred to as carpet squares).

Carpet Tiles are square or rectangular sections of carpet that are adhered to the floor, and are available in a wide variety of sizes, designs, colors, textures, and price levels. Carpet Tiles can be easily mixed and matched to create unique patterns and a high-style designs. When professionally installed, Commercial Carpet Tiles can deliver years of performance even in high-traffic areas.

Broadloom Carpet is the traditional format for carpet, installed in wide rolls and offering a choice of piles - cut pile, loop pile, or cut-and-loop pile, and a wide selection of colors and patterns. The commercial flooring experts at Lansing Tile & Mosaic can help you decide whether Carpet Tile or Broadloom Carpet is the right choice for your next flooring project

Resilient Flooring Products.

A sub-category of Hard Surface Flooring, Resilient Flooring is easily the fastest growing segment of commercial flooring products. Resilient Flooring products are durable, can be more economical than traditional materials to install, and due to advances in design and manufacturing technologies come in a wide variety of attractive finishes, textures, and styles.

Resilient Flooring is firm under foot, yet also has some give to it. Today’s Resilient Flooring products mimic wood, ceramic tile, and the look of just about every other traditional floorcovering material. Another great feature of Resilient Flooring is it can be cut into precise patterns and shapes to create interesting and artistic designs.

The top-choices for Resilient Flooring products includes Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT), Sheet Vinyl Flooring, and Rubber Sheet Flooring. There is also Cork Flooring, Recycled Rubber Flooring, and few other specialty Resilient Flooring options.

Lansing Tile & Mosaic installers are certified by the manufacturer to professionally install all of the major types of Resilient Flooring products noted above. Let us help you decide which format and style of Resilient Flooring is best for your next project.

Hard Surface Flooring Products.

Hard Tiles are the most common type of traditional Hard Surface Flooring products. This includes Stone Tile Flooring, Ceramic Tile Flooring, Porcelain Tile Flooring, Marble Tile Flooring, and Cement Tile Flooring. Today there is even wood-look and polished concrete-look Ceramic and Porcelain Tile. With Hard Tile the choices for color and design are limitless, as you can mix size, color, texture and patterns to create truly breathtaking floor and wall surface designs.

Concrete Flooring, either polished or stained, is also considered Hard Surface Flooring. Polished Concrete Flooring is an extremely durable and good-looking flooring option for many spaces. Stained Concrete Flooring has also become a popular choice for heavy-traffic and industrial spaces. Both types of Concrete Flooring have pluses and minuses when it comes to design options, heavy traffic, and exposure to substances such as road salt and oils.

Resinous (Epoxy) Flooring is a Multi-Layer Coating System applied over Concrete Flooring to add an extremely durable surface with options for texture, color, and style. Resinous, also generically referred to as Epoxy Flooring, has become a widely used commercial flooring product. Epoxy Flooring can be economical to install and provides excellent aesthetics with many options for color, texture and design. Let Lansing Tile & Mosaic help you to design and install your next Hard Surface Floor and tiled wall surface.
